OGV will sponsor the Dimboola drinks on Friday.
Oasis Olives will sponsor the morning tea & lunch on Saturday.
Non-members can join OGV on the day.
If you are interested in attending the field day, please reply to this email by 29 August stating “I am interested”.
Accommodation at Zero Inn Motel for 2 nights will cost $250. A deposit of $100 per room is required to confirm the booking. Members who register their interest to attend will be sent an OGV invoice for the $100 deposit on 1 September 2025. The invoice must be paid to OGV by 5 September 2025 to confirm the booking.
If there are enough people who want to attend but do not want to drive, it might be possible to hire a 12-seater (self-drive) bus. The $1200 cost would have to be shared by those wanting to travel by bus.

10am-12pm: Morning Session | Safe Use and Maintenance of Chainsaws for Absolute Beginners
12pm-1pm: Lunch
1pm-3pm: Afternoon Session | Olive Growth and Pruning (including how to use your chainsaw effectively to manage your grove)
Tickets are limited to 20 people per session and cost $30 per person (for both sessions) or $20 per person for either the morning or afternoon session, with lunch provided to all tickets holders.

Details: John & Marjan Symington have planted 300,000+ trees in Australia & Peru. As part of the planting program, John has experimented with several propagation strategies; some successful, some not so good. John will happily share his knowledge & experience with attendees on the day.
John’s presentation will include a demonstration of how to propagate olive trees.
